Aeylyn's 8 months!

Hi all! Aevlyn is really growing fast now. She knows how to crawl, pull herself up holding onto furniture and then walk along it, wave, peek-a-boo, kiss, point at people and pictures, and get really excited to see anyone! She's really becoming easier to understand. I don't have to guess when she needs basic needs anymore, she just tells me. Mommy and Aevlyn have a good little language going on and it's different from Daddy and Aevlyn's language! Enjoy the pictures!

Aevlyn is 6 Months! She loves to be very active, even though she can't crawl yet. She can stand up for about a minute if someone's close by and she rolls all over the floor - no need to crawl. She loves 'talking' and giggling with us too.

As you can see over the next few posts, I didn't have enough room to put all of these photos on one post. Ryan's mom and sister Jamie came for a visit in May. We had a great time a took a break from life for a while while we enjoyed each other's company and enjoyed Aevlyn. We took kabobs out to the sand dunes near Rexburg and had fun sliding down the hills. We got into trouble with the car when Ryan pulled it into the sand, thinking he could easily pull out. Not so. A huge truck hitched up to our car and still couldn't get him out, when along came a monster truck, and finally had enough power to get him unstuck. The next day we went to Mesa Falls, north of Rexburg and took a little hike with Aevlyn riding the daddy express. She loved being outside with the wind in her hair. That night Jamie, in her genius style of photography did a photo shoot with us for Aevlyn's 3 1/2 month old pictures and our family pictures. Aevlyn was the star durring this shoot. It was almost her bedtime, but she was gigling and smiling right until the end. We love all these beautiful photos. Thanks for comming! We loved it.

Aevlyn Marie Shanahan was born January 26, 2010. She weighed 7lbs and 5oz. She was 19.5 inches long. Welcome to the world!

Handy-man Ryan

The crib finally got to our house in Rexburg after a long process. We tried to think of how to transport it without having to take a U-haul. We settled on making a box. After we got it all packed up and ready for the top of the car, we decieded to try sliding it between the seats. It worked!!! In these pics we're figuring out how to put it up without any instructions. Success.
